ECVR 2026 Launch in Mombasa: Expanding Voter Registration Across Kenya

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has officially launched the Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise in Mombasa, marking the start of a 30-day nationwide drive running from March 30 to April 28, 2026. The initiative aims to reach eligible voters across all County Assembly Wards through mobile registration kits and deployed personnel.
Registration teams will move from village to village, targeting accessible public spaces including markets, churches, mosques, universities, colleges, water points, and other community gathering areas. Voters can also register at IEBC field offices countrywide and the IEBC Customer Experience Centre at Anniversary Towers.
Under the theme “Deepening Kenya’s Democracy Through Inclusive Voter Registration,” the exercise calls on all unregistered eligible citizens to take part. Kenyans are encouraged to spread the word and ensure wider participation as the country strengthens its democratic process.
